Abstract:

Nonequilibrium dynamics of a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) dynamics with fluctuations was analyzed using nonequilibrium many-body approaches beyond the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) approximation. Nonequilbrium dynamics of BEC was loaded in an optical lattice was described by the closed-time-path (CTP) functional formalism for two-particle irreducible (2PI) Green's function. It was observed that second-order 2PI approximations were able to capture the damping effects due to the multiplarticle scattering in a systematic way. It was also observed that second-order 2PI approximation worked at intermediate times when correlations were not negligible and standard mean-field techniques.
