Abstract:
The inelastic contribution of target electrons to different electronic processes in a projectile was obtained by employing the local-density approximation. Ionization cross-sections and stopping power for bare ions were also calculated. Results showed that more the number of electrons the target has, the better is the local plasma approximation.
