Abstract:

The evolution and states of a quantum computer in phase space using the discrete Wigner function were discussed. The conditions which result in the existence of a direct correspondence between quantum and classical evolutions in phase space were also studied. The measurement of Wigner function by means of a tomographic method which can be interpreted as a simple quantum algorithm was also analysed.
