Abstract:

The second Born approximation of the stopping power was calculated within the BC formalism. Z3p collisional corrections to energy-loss distributions and stopping power were calculated for protons, neutral hydrogen, and antiprotons, considering the projectile charge as fixed. Up to second order, the BCF properly described the difference between protons and antiprotons. Comparison of the stopping of antiprotons in aluminum and silicon with the first-order term showed excellent agreement.
