Abstract:

The influence of the opposite effects (generation and annealing of crystal defects) on the dissolution of reactor irradiated metal oxides was studied. Kinetic parameters were calculated, using a model proposed for the dissolution process, and the relation between the structure of the irradiated oxides and their behavior upon dissolution was discussed.
