Abstract:
The present work shows the behaviour of the phases in the determination of the surface electromagnetic waves in Kretschmann's configuration. The experimental arrangement employed is the same as the one used by Swalen et al., complemented with a polarization interferometer. We noticed that the phases provide a very precise account of the highest couplings. © 1989 Taylor and Francis Ltd.
