Abstract:

We have investigated the effect in AC magnetic susceptibility, κ{script}ac=κ{script}′+jκ{script} ″, of both DC transport current, Jt, and DC magnetic field, Hdc, in polycristalline HTSC. Two regimes are observed: at low DC fields critical state is modified by the current self field; but as Hdc is increased, Jt becomes dissipative (Vdc≠0) and κ{script}ac is determined by the samples's "resistance". © 1994.
