Abstract:
Microwave systems (passive and active) are being considered promising instruments for soil moisture determination at spatial and temporal scales compatible with applications in the fields of climatology, meteorology and large scale hydrology. This work presents a scheme to evaluate the influence of an active L-band system parameters in the determination of soil moisture. This scheme was developed as part of a system parameters analysis of the future Argentine L-band SAR.
