Abstract:

We obtain the most general Cauchy data that produce Hadamard singularities in the propagator of a scalar field in the following backgrounds: (a) space-times with general homogeneous plane cosmological metrics; (b) Robertson-Walker space-times with arbitrary spatial curvature. Using this result we discuss the propagators structure derived from two recently proposed Hamiltonian diagonalizations. © 1987 The American Physical Society.
