Abstract:

It is shown that generalized continuous parameter dispersion sum rules are always expressible as a series whose coefficients are the usual integer moment finite energy sum rules. Some current examples in the literature are reviewed. The essential equivalence of several kinds of sum rules is tested for the spin-averaged forward Compton amplitude and the results support our conclusion. © 1972.
