Abstract:

If research is to be effective, it must be made available to planners and building designers so that knowledge can be applied in practice. This paper discusses some aspects of the response to users' needs and the transfer of research results to the practitioner. A series of case studies are presented to illustrate the practical problems of implementation. © 1990.
