Abstract:

Two flavone glycosides, luteolin 7-O-glucoside and luteolin 7-O-diglucoside and two 6, 8-di-C-glycosides of apigenin were found to occur in the methanolic leaf extract of Parodiodoxa chionophilum. The exclusive presence of flavone derivatives in this species contrasts with the occurrence of flavonols in all other genera of Cruciferae that have been examined. © 1988.
