Abstract:
The dimerization and aggregation of ribosomal particles, an artifact produced by glutaraldehyde fixation, is described. This effect is especially noticeable with 30S subunits. The influence of ribosomal, Mg++ and fixative reagent concentrations has been studied in order to find conditions adequate to diminish the deleterious effects of the ribosomal fixation. © 1976 D.
