Abstract:

The logistic approach to primary energy sources substitution is revised under the light of energy consumption data in different countries. It is found that the historic data show larger dispersion values with theory during the last decades and that better results are obtained when substitution is focused as a competition between electric and non-electric forms of energy delivered to final users. © 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
