Abstract:
We have analyzed the local structure of the flow in the neighborhood of the unstable periodic orbits within the chaotic solution of a four-dimensional vector field. Surfaces within the invariant manifolds of the orbits are found and characterized: they are either Klein bottles or tori. © 1997 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
