Abstract:

The synonymy of Notonecta (Paranecta) virescens Blanchard 1852, N. (P.) bicirca Hungerford 1926 and N. (P.) bicircoidea Hungerford 1928 is established on examination of the type material. The following diagnostic characters, herein illustrated, are similar in all the specimens examined: the genital capsule, the paramere, the aedeagus, and the urosternite VI (V apparent) of the female.
