Abstract:
The main morphological characters for the identification of the larvae and pupae of Stenochorema crassicostum Schmid are given and compared with other Hydrobiosidae larvae and pupae, especially Schajovskoya neuquensis. Currently the genus Stenochorema is only known from Chile. The larvae of 12 Neotropical Hydrobiosidae genera remain yet undescribed and the biology of the South American species is still unknown.
