Abstract:

In the title compound, C 13 H 11 N 3 O 4 , the substituted aromatic ring has a slightly deformed chair conformation and the unsubstituted ring a deformed boat conformation. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the rings is 62.9 (1)°. The o-nitro group is twisted out of the plane of the phenyl ring. Short C-H⋯O intermolecular contacts stabilize the three-dimensional structure.
