Abstract:

Irradiation of deacetylaspidospermine gives a dimeric product, 15,15′-bis(deacetylaspidosperminyl). Some aspects of the photodimerization are discussed and compared with the results obtained by treatment of the alkaloid with potassium permanganate in acetone. © 1988.
