Abstract:
The modulated amplitude waves (MAWs) in the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE) were systematically studied. These periodic coherent structures were found to originate in supercritical bifurcations due to the BF instability of the CGLE. Indications were given in favor of the existence of the phase turbulent regime even in the thermodynamic limit.
