Abstract:
We present a new fast scan system that employs a stepper motor used in a single step oscillating mode and a position monitor device based on a diode laser. The setup used generates delays as large as 105 ps at 10 Hz, with 100% duty cycle. We also introduce a reliable device based on the shadow of a moving cutter with a laser diode as the light source to avoid power fluctuations problems. © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
