Abstract:

We analysed the epiphytic stomatocyst flora (Chrysophyceae and Synurophyceae) of wet mosses from Antarctica by electron microscopy. Sixteen of the eighteen morphotypes studied are new to science. The cyst of Paraphysomonas vestita ssp. truncata is described for the first time. © 2008 J. Cramer in der Gebrüder Borntraeger.
