Abstract:

The metabolism of [3H]-testosterone in perfused dog adrenals and in adrenal minces of a normal dog has been studied. Three principal metabolites were studied and identified by isotope dilution and gas-liquid chromatography-mass speetrometry: androstenedione, 11β-hydroxyandrostenedione and 11 β-hydroxytestosterone. The last of these metabolites is obtained in high yield which is further increased after ACTH administration. © 1973.
