Abstract:
β-Octa-O-benzoylcellobiose (I) was prepared and, from its reaction with methanolic ammonia, cellobiose (II), 4-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-1,1-bis(benzamido)-1-deoxy-D-glucitol (IIIa), N-benzoylcellobiosylamine (IVa), and 6-O-benzoylcellobiose (V) were obtained. The structure of compounds IIIa and V were established.
