Abstract:

New results of Zr diffusion in α-Ti with different Fe concentrations are presented. The effect of ultrafast impurity contentsj on substitutional diffusion in α-Ti is compared with the behaviour observed in α-Zr. The models developed to explain α-Zr self-diffusion are analyzed in order to discuss their application to substitutional diffusion in α-Ti.
