Abstract:
A discussion about the kinetics of dissolution is presented. The experiment allows students to fit experimental data to mathematical functions. It also allows the students to successfully validate the proposed model for the dissolution of a solid in a liquid. An estimation of the thickness for the Nernst diffusion layer is performed.
