Abstract:

The post-embryonic development of Artemia persimilis Piccinelli and Prosdocimi, reared under laboratory conditions, is described. Larval development is typical of branchiopods. It comprises 17 identifiable instars, which may be grouped into four periods. A comparison is made with Artemia franciscana Kellogg.
