Abstract:

An analysis of the influence of the non-uniform distribution of the active species in a catalyst pellet on the effectiveness factor and point yield for the van de Vusse reaction network is carried out. The effect of different parameters on the point yield for a single pellet and on the integral yield for a fixed bed reactor is studied, and the optimum activity distribution is determined. © 1983.
