The mass spectra of three perbenzoylated aldopyranosylamines, five O-acetyl-N-benzoylaldopyranosylamines, and two N-acetyl-O-benzoylaldofuranosylamines were recorded. The spectra are similar to, but less complex than, those of the corresponding acetates, and the presence of the benzoyl group increases the stability of high-molecular-weight fragments. © 1984.
