Abstract:

The first photoelectric analysis of the Algol-like system AG Phe based on U, B, V, R and I light curves and modeled using the Wilson and Devinney approach, is presented. The light curves are defined by 9246 individual observations. The components and the orbit appears to be stable. The primary, more massive, more luminous and greater component, eclipsed (total transit) at primary and has a temperature difference of ΔT = -3310 K. Preliminary derived absolute dimensions M1/M⊙ = 1.42, R1/R⊙ = 1.66, L1/L⊙ = 7.83, log g1 = 4.15 assign normal MS characteristics and a low degree of evolution to the A8V primary, while M2/M⊙ = 0.22, R2/R⊙ = 0.93, L2/L⊙ = 0.29, log g2 = 3.84 suggest an evolved K2 sub-giant secondary.
