Resumen:

Los niños aprenden a poner en movimiento el columpio por sus propios medios, es decir sin que nadie los empuje y sin apoyarse en el suelo con los pies, y a gobernar a voluntad la amplitud de las oscilaciones. Sin embargo muchos estudiantes no logran entender en que se funda esta habilidad, y el tema no se trata en los cursos elementales de Física. Aquí presentamos un análisis simplificado del columpio al alcance de los estudiantes de dichos cursos, que pone en evidencia los efectos que permiten poner en movimiento al columpio y regular la amplitud de sus oscilaciones

Abstract:

Children learn to set in motion the swing on their own, without help and without pushing on the ground with their feet, and to vary at will the amplitude of the oscillations. However many students cannot explain how this is achieved, and the subject is not discussed in the basic Physics courses. Here we present a simplified analysis of the swing for students of these courses, that shows the effects that allow to set in motion the swing and to regulate the amplitude of its oscillations
