La diversidad de aves de nuestro país fue compilada en diversas ocasiones a lo largo de la historia. En este trabajo comento algunos de las obras más relevantes de la literatura y analizo cómo la tecnología y las nuevas prácticas modificaron la forma de comunicar la información en el nuevo milenio. Finalmente, presento brevemente algunos resultados preliminares de una nueva lista comentada cuyo principal objetivo es resumir los hallazgos e investigaciones acontecidos en los últimos 20 años.
The diversity of birds in our country has been catalogued on various occasions throughout history. In this article I comment on some of the most relevant works in the literature and analyze how technology and new practices modified the methods of communicatting information in the new millennium. Finally, I present briefly some preliminary results of a new annotated checklist with the aim of summarizing the discoveries and research that occurred in the last 20 years.
