El comportamiento reproductivo de la Palomita Moteada (Metriopelia ceciliae), también conocida como Tortolita Boliviana, es poco conocido y ha sido descripto principalmente a partir de individuos mantenidos en condiciones de cautiverio. En este trabajo se describen el cortejo y la cópula de la Palomita Moteada en estado silvestre, registrados en un área rural del Parque Nacional Toro-Toro, Potosí, Bolivia.
The reproductive behaviour of the Bare-faced Ground-Dove (Metriopelia ceciliae) is little known and has been described mainly from captive individuals. In this work we describe the courtship and copulation of the Bare-faced Ground- Dove in the wild in a rural area of the Toro-Toro National Park, Potosí, Bolivia.
