Resumen:

La entrevista es un método poco empleado en los trabajos de investigación en Ecología. La aplicación de esta técnica permitió determinar que ejemplares adultos de Illex argentinus estuvieron presentes en las aguas del Golfo Nuevo entre mayo y octubre durante 15 años. Este hecho se utilizó como validación del modelo teórico que predice que las zonas de desove de la especie estarían cerca de la costa y reforzando la hipótesis que los ejemplares de la especie desova principalmente en aguas costeras en lugar del talud.

Abstract:

Interview is not often used in Ecology research. The use of this technique in the present study allowed determining that adult individuals of Illex argentinus were present in waters of Nuevo gulf between May and October through 15 years. This fact was used as a validation for the model that predicts that spawning areas of the species would be located in near-shore waters, reinforcing the hypothesis that the individuals of the species spawns mainly in coastal waters rather than over the slope.
