En el experimento usual de medición de la razón e/m, se dispara un haz de electrones dentro una ampolla que contiene He a baja presión, inmersa en un campo magnético que confina al haz en una trayectoria circular. A partir de la medición del radio de ésta y de otros parámetros, se calcula la razón e/m. En el presente trabajo, se propone un método para estimar la intensidad de corriente inicial del haz de electrones. Por otra parte, a partir de fotografías digitales, se estima el cambio de la intensidad luminosa absoluta del haz. Por medio del ajuste de estos datos con un modelo teórico de la dinámica de partículas en un medio, se obtiene la sección eficaz de interacción electrón-helio. El objetivo es didáctico, y apunta a justificar cuantitativamente supuestos iniciales de la práctica usual, y a dar una introducción al estudio de la interacción de un haz da partículas con un gas neutro por medio del formalismo de Inmersión Invariante
In the usual experiment of the measurement of the e/m ratio, an electron beam is fired into an ampoule containing heliumat low pressure, immersed in a magnetic field that confines the beam in a circular path. From the measurement of the radius of this path and other parameters, the e/m ratio is calculated. In the present work, a method is proposed to calculate the initial current of the electron beam. On the other hand, from digital photographs, the change of the absolute luminous intensity of this beam is estimated. Then these data are adjusted with a theoretical model of the dynamics of the same, from which the effective section of electron He interaction is obtained. The objective is didactic, and aims to quantitatively justify initial assumptions of the usual practice, and to give an introduction to the interaction of a beam of particles with a neutral gasby means of the Invariant Imbedding formalism
