Resumen:

La aleación eutéctica Sn-37%Pb que es utilizada en el ensamble de circuitos electrónicos y en telecomunicaciones desde hace más de 50 años debe ser reemplazada por aleaciones libres de Pb en un futuro cercano debido a los efectos adversos sobre el medio ambiente y la salud por la la alta toxicidad del Pb. En la actualidad, las principales aleaciones candidatas a sustituir a las de Sn-Pb son las del sistema Sn-Ag-Cu (aleaciones SAC). Sin embargo aún sigue siendo dificultoso establecer datos sobre las propiedades térmicas fundamentales de estas aleaciones que permitan interpretar el proceso de solidificación de este sistema. En este trabajo se llevó a cabo un análisis del comportamiento térmico de las aleaciones eutécticas binarias Sn-Ag y Sn-Cu y ternaria Sn-Ag-Cu utilizando Análisis Térmico pseudodiferencial y Calorimetría Diferencial de Barrido (DSC)

Abstract:

The eutectic alloy Sn-37%Pb that is being used in tha assembly of electronic circuits and in telecommunication since more than 50 years, must be replaced by Lead free alloys in the near future, due to the adverse effects against the environment and the public health because the high toxicity of lead. At this time, the first candidate alloys to substitute Sn-Pb are belong to Sn-Ag-Cu system (SAC Alloys). However, still results very difficult to establish reliable data about thermal properties, which are fundamental to interprete the solidification process of this system. In this work, an analysis of the thermal behavior of binary Sn-Ag, Sn-Cu and ternary Sn-Ag-Cu were carried out by using pseudo-differential Thermal Analysis and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
