Resumen:

En este trabajo se construye un dispositivo que permite medir la carga eléctrica de una barra de hielo al momento de quebrarla, mientras está sometida a un gradiente térmico. El rango de temperatura utilizado es de 30 °C a 0°C, y con gradientes de hasta 300 °C/m. Se observa que el extremo más caliente se carga negativamente. La carga observada en los experimentos es del orden de 108 C/°Cm.

Abstract:

In order to measure the electric charge of an ice bar fractured under thermal gradients a device was built. The used temperature range was 30°C to 0°C and gradient of up to 300 °C/m. Measured charges per unit gradient were around 108 C/°Cm with the warm end charged negatively.
