Se considera un correlador de transformada conjunta tal que el sistema óptico de la primera etapa (CTC1) tiene aberraciones primarias y el de la segunda etapa (CTC2) es libre de aberraciones. El CTC1 está compuesto por una estructura (objeto y muestra) ubicada entre dos sistemas ópticos centrados: A (convergente) y B (divergente y opcionalmente usado para obtener efectos de teleobjetivo y compensar aberraciones). La muestra es una franja de transmitancia unitaria centrada en el display superior con una altura igual a un tercio de la de dicho display y el objeto es una franja similar en el display inferior y puede estar centrada o desplazada. Para aberración nula en el display superior y para una dada aberración primaria en el inferior se obtiene que el desplazamiento del objeto introduce otras aberraciones. Se muestran los gráficos de la señal de correlación obtenidos numéricamente para los casos en que la diferencia de aberraciones entre objeto y muestra sean iguales y superiores al límite de Rayleigh
A joint transform correlator such that the optical system of the first step (CTC1) has primary aberrations and that of the second step (CTC2) is free from aberrations is considered. The CTC1 consists in a structure (target and scene) placed between two centred optical systems: A (converging) and B (diverging and optionally used to obtain teleobjective effects and compensate aberrations). The target is a fringe of unit transmittance centred at the upper display with a height equal to one third of that of the display and the scene is a similar fringe at the lower display and can be centred or not. For zero aberration at the upper display and for a certain primary aberration at the lower one, the displacement of the object introduces other aberrations. Plots of the correlation signal, obtained numerically, for the cases in which the difference between the wavefront aberrations in the scene and target is equal to and greater than the Rayleigh limit are shown
